Charles L. Chance, 52, 2224 Brown St., died this morning at St. John's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Elwood, he came to Anderson 16 years ago and was retired from Delco-Remy Division.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was very active in bowling leagues.
Surviving with the wife, Norma, are four children, Robert C. Chance, Shirley; Angela K. Chance, at home; Mrs. Linda Reck, Anderson, and Mrs. Edward (Rebecca) Moore, Shirley; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bradford and Mrs. Betty Foley, both of Anderson, and Mrs. Margaret Schaefer, Cincinnati, Ohio; a half brother, Merl Acton, Logansport, and one grandchild.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Baker Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Wine officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
