Jessie Ellen Ridgway of Pendleton, Indiana, eldest daughter of Homer and Bessie (Crist) Filbrun, was born December 22, 1922 in Westphalia, Kansas. From the presence of a loving family, she passed peacefully to Eternal Life on December 28, 2020 at the age of 98 years.
Mother was a loving wife and homemaker.

She answered the call of her Saviour and was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on September 7, 1941 and remained a faithful servant of God until her death.

On December 20, 1942 she was united in marriage to Charles Raymond Ridgway. Together, they shared life's joys and sorrows for 75 years. This union was blessed by six children. She is survived by children, Linda Miller of Westcliff, Colorado, Leanna Collins of Daleville, Darrell Ridgway and wife, Susan of Anderson, Betty Bishop of Pendleton, and Steve Ridgway and wife, Sherry of Shelbyville, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Melanie Ridgway of Tennessee. Jessie was the oldest of four children and is survived by her brother, Lester Filbrun. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents; her son, Duane Ridgway; grandson, Charles Skiles; a sister, Florence Renicker; and a brother, Maurice Filbrun.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the home brethren officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pendleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
