Ruthann W. Neal
Age 93, a resident of Berkeley Square Retirement Community, died Sunday, August 28, 2016. She was born in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania on October 2, 1922 the daughter of Truman J. and Eve B. (Mitchell) Wall. She was married and widowed twice to Clark A. Stethem (m. 1946) and Harry R. Neal (m. 1971). Ruthann was employed as a school teacher in Ohio and Pennsylvania for 35 years, retiring in 1975. She was a lifelong member of the West Branch Quaker Meeting, Grampian, PA and became a member of the Trenton Mennonite Church in Trenton, Ohio. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association - Retired, Clearfield County Retired Teachers, Penn Grange, Grampian, Pennsylvania, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) and Colonial Dames 17th Century. She is survived by her step son, Timothy (Carol) Neal, Los Alamos, New Mexico; step grandchildren, Jocelyn, Everett (Jenna), Meredith (Alison), Alistair and Lowell and eight step great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece, Sarah Ruth Rogers, Fripp Island, South Carolina; and nephew William C. Rogers, D.D.S., Hamilton; grandnieces Jennifer Rogers (Dr. Philip) Bradford; Julie Elizabeth Rogers, Centerville, OH and Beth Ellen Rogers a senior at Ohio State University and two great grandnieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands and her sister, Pauline W. Rogers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 beginning with visitation at 12:30pm until time of service at 1:30pm at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd., Hamilton, Ohio 45013 with Dr. Jim Menninger officiating. Burial will be in the Trenton Mennonite Cemetery, Trenton.
