In 1997, when Betty Jean Foster Dill and Lynn Hicks Sellers began the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery survey, small tombstones for Moses and Mary Foster were lying flat on the ground, readable but the soft stone was very fragile. During a re-visit in 1998, the tombstones were missing. The family plot had been reworked and apparently Moses' and Mary's markers crumbled in the process.
