Goliad – Paul S. Harnden, 90, passed away on September 2, 2016 in Goliad, TX; a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born December 31, 1925 to the late Ernest Harnden and Martha Baldwin in Yoakum, TX.

He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima. He married Patricia Pettus in Yoakum and they moved to Midland and then made their home with their three daughters in Roswell, NM. After retiring, Paul and Patricia moved to Goliad where they enjoyed ranching, visits with family and friends, and Goliad Market Days and members of the First United Methodist Church of Goliad.

Mr. Harnden is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ernest and David Harnden; grand daughter, Amber Satterfield; son in law, Mike Satterfield.

Family and friends may sign the book on Tuesday, September 6 from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home Chapel in Goliad. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 7 at Glendale Cemetery in Goliad with Pastor Wesley Craig officiating. Military honors will follow the grave side service.
