Captain Sam Bartlett of No. 5 firehouse and Mrs. Bartlett returned Tuesday from West Frankfort where they attended the funeral of their infant grandson, David Samuel Bartlett. The child died last Sunday after a brief illness of bronchial pneumonia. He was eight months old.
David Samuel was the only child of Mr. & Mrs. Noah David Bartlett. The family resided in Decatur until a short time before Christmas when it removed to West Frankfort where Mrs. Bartlett's parents reside.
Burial was from the Central Methodist church and burial in a nearby cemetery.
