Newton. - Roberta M. Sympson, 55, 1003 1/2 E. Sixth St., Newton, died Saturday (Oct. 1., 1988) at Newton Medical Center.

She was born in Newkirk Aug. 28, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Ethel White Criger. She married Herbert Sympson, Nov. 16, 1950 at Newkirk. She had been a resident of Newton 14 years.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Mrs. William (Marie) Monasmith, Newton; two sons, Herbert jr., Oklahoma City, Harold, Newton; six sisters, Elizabeth Bailey and Erma Bailey, Newton, Leona Herridge, Clearwater, Vivian Foust, Blackwell, Okla., Gloria Hunter and Myrtle Martin, Arkansas City, and six grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at Pettersen Funeral Home at Newton. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tisdale cemetery east of Winfield. A memorial in her name has been established with Lifeline at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.
