Elizabeth Theresa "Bette" Loveland, nee Meehan, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare (formerly the Franciscan Care Center) in Hockessin, Delaware.
She was born and raised in Lenni, Pa, where she attended St. Francis De Sales Elementary School and later, Media High School. She was a former member of ABVM Church, West Grove, Pa and St. John Fisher in Boothwyn, Pa.
Elizabeth was an extraordinary woman who was defined by who and how much she loved.
She was a faithful and dedicated wife to her loving husband, Frank Preston Loveland ,who died in 1990. She was born on May 23, 1926 of beloved (predeceased) parents Michael Francis and Anna Marie Meehan.
She loved her nine sisters including four predeceased sisters: Donalda J. Collins, Annamarie Zittarelli, Catherine J. "Kitty" Eissler and Helen "Mickey" Limpas. She is survived by five sisters, Frances "Franny" P. Dulceamore, Louise Joyce Furey, Rita Mary Hannum, Margaret "Peggy" F. Bruno and Gloria E. Giordano. She is also survived by her daughter Christine F. Loveland; granddaughter Catherine Elizabeth and spouse, John Matthew Sheahan and Great Grandson John Braedon Sheahan.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 6 at St. Francis De Sales Church in Lenni, Pa. Friends and Family are invited to call at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 am on this same day. Her burial will be immediately following her mass at the St. Francis cemetery.
