Antoinette Marie (Yeash) Fargo of Arlington, VA passed away peacefully on September 3, 2016 after courageously battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Steve Thomas and Mary (Patsko) Yeash, and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her devoted and caring friend and loving siblings. Also surviving are six nieces and nephews, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.

Antoinette was born in Brownsville, PA on December 27, 1946, and graduated from Brashear Senior High School in 1964. After graduation, Antoinette moved to Washington, D.C. and was employed in the Federal Career service with the United States Air Force. She later transferred to the US Department of Transportation where she spent the remainder of her career. Antoinette also earned a degree from Northern VA Community College and was an active member of Toast Masters International holding several leadership positions.

Antoinette enjoyed music, dancing, the outdoors, and family and friends. She was a member of the Alexandria Singers and the Potomac Harmony chorus groups, and a participant in the Chris Collins Dance Group. As a longtime active parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Alexandria, she shared her talents with the congregation, most recently as a hand bell player and also as a choir member and catechist teacher. She always had a smile on her face and a song in her heart; and unfailingly stood ready to help anyone who needed it. She viewed every moment as an opportunity to create a memorable experience; and her life was filled much more with laughter than tears.

Family and friends will be received at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 11th.
