Mrs. Arra Thomas Caswell, 60 years old, wife of Jeff Caswell, died Saturday, July 30, 1938, at their home. She was born July 9, 1878, a daughter of the late Frank and Susie Darnell Overby and was twice married, her first husband being Charles Burden, who died some years ago. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church.

She is survived by: six daughters, Mrs. Hazel Burden, Mrs. John Mattox, Miss Ollie Burden, Miss Maggie Christine Caswell, Mrs. A. D. Nickerson and Mrs. Clifford Florence; two sons, William Burden and Malcolm Caswell; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Mattox and Mrs. Lela Suggs; and a brother, Neil Overby.

The funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant Church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, withe Rev. Albert Mattox officiating. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pall bearers were Robert Dotson, Frank Cordray, Frank Beagle, Stanley Mattox, Ernest Tolle and Cleve Dailey.
