CLARK -- Donna L. Wagers, 84, of Clark, passed away Sunday morning, September 4, 2016 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, Millersburg, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with the Rev. Burnetta Armour officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those wishing to share a memory or make on-line condolences may do so by visiting www.alexanderfhinc.com.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clark Community Church.

Donna was born June 17, 1932, in Holmes County and was the daughter of Bernard and Beulah (VanSickle) Kaser. On June 27, 1958 she married Archie Wagers and he preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1997.

Donna was salutatorian of Clark High School's graduating class of 1950. She later went on to Coshocton County's Practical Nursing School, becoming an LPN. Donna first worked at Mullet's Grocery Store in Clark, Rodhe's IGA, The Coshocton Tribune and The Holmes County Home. She worked 14 years at Joel Pomerene Hospital and 21 years for Castle Nursing Homes, retiring in 2008. She went on two medical mission trips to Haiti. Donna was a member of the Clark Community Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Clark Grange. She was a past 4-H advisor for the Clark Sunny Stitchers, and sang with the Sweet Adelines. Donna enjoyed playing the organ, working on word search puzzles and crocheting. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed all their events and activities.

She is survived by her two sons, Greg Wagers of Clark, and Gary (Mary) Wagers of Killbuck; 8 grandchildren,and 7 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pauline Wagers of Clark; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Suzie Russell.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her husband, Archie.
