On Feb. 5, 1918 the troopship Tuscania was torpedoed and sunk. One of the survivors was Private Richard E. Anderson of the 100th Aero Squadron from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In the 1920s, the "National Tuscania Survivors Association" was formed. To become a member of this association, you had to be a survivor of that event. The 1940 membership roster has a member listed under Minnesota:
Richard E. Anderson 3422 Queen Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN

I found that in the 1930 and 1940 census, Rudolph Enridge Anderson was living at 3422 Queen Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN. and was married to Anna May (Mae) Anderson.

However in both the 1930 and 1940 census, it indicated that he was born in 1905, indicating that he would have been 12 years old when he enlisted in the Army. Also, in the 1930 census, he was asked if he was a Veteran of Military service, and he indicated NO.

Addresses:
Cokato, Wright Co., Minnesota (1905)(1920)
3422 Queen Ave. N., Minneapolis, Minnesota (1930)(1940)
Wife: Anna Mae Elizabeth Wxxxxx
Father: Andrew E. Anderson
Mother: Christina Nelson
