Forest L. "Frosty" Coughenour was born on Monday; October 2, 1922 in New Albany Township; Story County, Iowa. He was the son of Leslie and Winifred (Veneman) Coughenour. Forest was united in marriage to Marge Hansen on Saturday; March 8, 1947 in Nashua; Chickasaw County, Iowa. Marge passed away on Saturday; September 4, 1993. He later married Dorothy Langcor on Friday; November 5, 2004 in Maxwell; Story County, Iowa. "Frosty" was a milkman and delivered for several dairies. He retired from Roberts Dairy. Frosty served in the Army during World War II. He attended the Maxwell Brethren Church and was a member of the Maxwell VFW and American Legion. Frosty loved to mushroom hunt and watch the Hawkeyes. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, sharing a good story, dancing to the Big Band music and eating at a good restaurant.

Those left to mourn his passing are his wife Dorothy of Maxwell; two daughters: Dana (Mike) Zeiser of Ankeny; Polk County, Iowa. Norma Stigler of Omaha; Douglas County, Nebraska. A Son: Larry (Cathy) Coughenour of Wayzata; Hennepin County Minnesota. Eight grandchildren; Katie Coughenour, Kevin Coughenour, Kelli Coughenour, Michael Zieser, Michelle Zieser, Josh Stigler, Karl Coughenour and Dustin Coughenour; Two great grandchildren; Marina Zieser and Kyle Coughenour. Two brothers: Vernon Coughenour of Maxwell, IA, Eddie Coughenour of Kingsley; Plymouth County, Iowa and two sisters; Annie Moss of Granger; Dallas County, Iowa and Arlene O'Hara of Long Beach; Los Angeles County, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Marge; a son; Denny Coughenour and a sister, Katie.
