He was born April 16, 1940 in Mammoth Springs, AR, the son of Charlie Joe and Helen (Bettigrew) Madden. He had been a resident of the Pittsburg area since 1968 moving from Alton, MO.
Samuel married Glenna Sue Walters on May 21, 1963 in Alton, MO; she preceded him in death on February 17, 2011.
He was a Truck Driver. He was a member of the United Penecostal Church in Lamar, MO.
Survivors include a son Allen Madden and wife Nilla of Pittsburg; a sister Shirley Land of West Plains, MO and 4 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter Donna Roberts and a sister Audrey Nelson.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday September 8, 2016 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Pastor Robert Textor officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday September 7th at the funeral home where friends may call after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
