Luke Christopher Braun, 1 and a half, went to join the angels in heaven Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 5:55 p.m. at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born November 14, 2014 in Kokomo to John Christopher and Tia M. (Long) Braun.

Luke made everyone he met happy. He was a special little man. He was typical little boy that enjoyed chasing his sisters. He loved fire trucks, anything that moved or made noise. He is survived by his parents, Chris and Tia Braun, Elwood; sisters, Carley, Cora and Lucy; his paternal grandparents, John and Pam Braun, Tipton; maternal grandparents, Toni and Ron Dunham, Kokomo; maternal great grandparents, Junior T. Wilson and Willie Mae and Carlton Long all of Windfall; uncle, Jacob Braun, Tipton; aunts, Laren (Danny) Sullivan, Tipton; Marissa Braun, Alaska; Amber Braun, Oklahoma and a special uncle Phil Lunsford of Tennessee.

A celebration of Luke’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13th at Rock Prairie Church, 421 Ash Street, Tipton, Indiana with Pastor Brian Wick officiating. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday, September 12th also at Rock Prairie Church in Tipton. Luke gave the gift of life as an organ donor. The family requests donations be made in Luke’s honor to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, 2001 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 or Rock Prairie Church in Tipton.
