Ola Hicks, age 88, of Eastern, KY., wife of Lacy Hicks, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1927 in Topmost, KY., a daughter of the late Tom and Genetta Hall Mosley. She attended the Old Regular Baptist Church, owned and operated a restaurant for many years and was also a homemaker.
In addition to her husband Lacy, she is survived by five daughters; Stephanie (Danny) Walton, Virginia Beach, VA., Beverly (Steve) Newsome, Martin, KY., Darleen (Clifford) Blanton, Langley, KY., Charlene (Mike) Dingus, Orange Park, FL and Franceen (Danny) Crum, Martin, KY., one brother; Hershel (Allene) Mosley, Wayland, KY., two sisters; Irene Slone, Vernon, AL and Avanell Stephens, Brookhaven, MS., four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband; Ed Martin, one daughter; Kathy Sue Martin, two brothers; Hershel and Berlin Mosley and two sisters; Ethel Sexton and Edith Johnson.
Funeral service for will be conducted Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY and visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the funeral home under the kind and professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
