Helen married Miles Jefferson Cowan 11/4/1899 in South Pittsburg, Marion County, Tennessee. They lived most of their married life in Tuscaloosa. They had 9 children. One of their daughters, Susan Lenoy Cowan died at 1-1/2 years old. The other eight children lived to be adults.
Helen was my Grandmother's only living sibling after 1948, when their sister Effie died. When Helen passed away, my Grandmother lived for 23 years with no living siblings. My Grandmother was Lillian Jeanette Peacock/Smith - she is also listed on Findagrave and is buried in Atlanta, Georgia. She lived to be 99 years, 6 weeks old.
