A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Monday, September 12, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be 3-6pm Sunday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline with a rosary recited at 2:30pm. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Church, Jordan Catholic School or Alleman High School.
Laurine was born December 19, 1925 in Rural Jefferson County, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Pauline (Kregoski) Peck. She married Salvatore “Sam” Armetta on November 23, 1946 in East Pleasant Plain, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1984.
Laurine was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She loved dancing and was the founder and a coach for the Rock Island Girls Softball.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Steve) Qubeck, Waynesborough, TN, Mike (Darci) Armetta, Davenport, Frank (Cathy) Armetta, Mahomet, IL, Tony (Kim) Armetta, Rock Island, Cindy Tomasello, Addison, IL, Pam (Steve) Letourneau, Dallas, TX, Mark (Theresa) Armetta, Coal Valley and Pat (Angela) Armetta, Houston, TX ; 28 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Forbes, Muscatine, IA and a brother, Bill Peck, East Pleasant Plain, IA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Cain and a son, Tom Armetta.
