WM. BOTKIN

William Botkin was born at Atlanta, Ill., April 27, 1854, and passed away May 4, 1942, at Chariton, Iowa, at the age of 88 years and 8 days.

He grew to manhood on a farm in Illinois and came to Chariton six years ago and made his home with his brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Those left to mourn their loss are two brothers, L. A. Botkin, of Chariton, and Lyman Botkin, of Greenview, Ill.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Virgil Neville at the Miley Funeral Homes at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon and he was laid to rest in the Chariton cemetery.
