Paul L. Richey, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. He was born on April 11, 1939, in Promised Land, Arkansas, to Rev. C. R. Richardson and Arah Craig Richardson.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melanie Faith Richardson Searcy; second wife, Katrina Richey; sisters, Virginia Towery and Viola Whitlatch; and brothers, George Richey and Carl Richardson.

At the time of Paul's passing, he was survived by his wife, Lisa Lambert Richey; sisters, Violet Howard and Marie Meier; step daughters, Ashleigh (Josh) Stone and Jennifer Wheeler; grandsons, Paul Hagen (Morgan) Searcy, Dillon and Glenn Searcy, and Aiden Stone; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and dear friends, especially three ladies, Jayne Lybrand, Toni Dai and Elizabeth Nanna.

Visitation with the family was held at 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012, in the Dignity Hall at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Stan Mitchell of Gracepointe Church in Franklin, Tennesse, officiating. Placement will follow in the Cross Mausoleum in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Shug Baggett, Phil Barber, Ed Bruce, Tommy Cash, Mike Coupe, Jason Daniels, Jim Haynes, Jeremiah Herrera, Bill Parrish, Cliff Richardson, Eugene Richardson, Jimmy Yandell and Jerry Lee "Smoochie" Smith. Paul spent his life working in country music as an artist, songwriter, publisher and was a former manager for George Jones. He was a passionate supporter of "AA" with his time and resources.
