Betty Sue Johnson Allen, 84 of Pittsboro, Mississippi died on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Brookdale Senior Living in Oxford, Mississippi.

Born Tuesday, August 30, 1932 in Bruce, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Johnson and the late Jimmie Mae Bennett Johnson. She was the wife of the late Howard Allen.

She was a homemaker and a member of Bruce United Methodist Church, and a member of Daughters of The American Revolution, and Twenty Century Club.

Surviving are son, James Milton Allen and Norma of Collierville, TN; daughters, Linda (Andy) (Allen) Stepp of Bruce, and Barbara (Allen) Burch and husband Paul of Mt. Pleasant, MS; twelve grandchildren, Ben Suber, Christopher Suber, Brad Allen, Hunter Allen, Molly Allen, Amy Burch, Carrie Burch, Charlie Allen, Matt Allen, Jacob Allen, Andrea Stepp, and Anna Stepp; and eleven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Howard Allen, a son Steve Allen.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Lannis May and Bro. Darrell Logan officiating. Interment will be in Old Town Cemetery, Pittsboro, MS.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brad Allen, Charlie Allen, Hunter Allen, Jacob Allen, Matt Allen, Ben Suber, and Christopher Suber.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, 476 Hwy 9N, Bruce, Mississippi.
