Tea merchant who was killed in the Hindenburg explosion. Anders had originally planned to sail on the Hindenburg in the company of his son, Herbert. But in late April, with feelings of unease, Ernst decided it might be more prudent if the young man crossed by sea -- Herbert's ticket on the Hindenburg was subsequently cancelled.
