Barbara Ann Abell, 70, of Campbellsville, died Saturday, September 10, 2016 in Louisville at Norton's Hospital. Born October 17, 1945 in the Merrimac community of Taylor county, she was the daughter of the late Mary Leeann "Helena" Brown. Barbara was raised by her grandparents Willie & Lee Brown of the Cuddler Creek Community of Taylor County and attended the Merrimac School. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church. She worked many years as assistant manager and waitress for Druther's Restaurant in Lebanon and was an E.M.T. for the Marion County Emergency Services in Lebanon for a short time and a caregiver for the elderly. Survivors include her children, Eleven grandchildren ,fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her grandparents and mother, Mrs. Abell was preceded in death by a brother, Amos O'Daniel Jr. Also known as Junior Brown. The funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Ann Abell, will be Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Ky. Visitation is at 11am. Burial to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Casey County. Bro. Haywood Riner will be officiating.
