Eldest son of Frederick H. and Jorgina "Jennie" Hansen Christensen. Hans's siblings were Elmer, Arthur "Art",Walter and Elva (married Al Fabian).
1927 Jan 27--Marriage of Hans Hansen Christensen and Martha Kristina Petersen at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. & Mrs. A.M. Petersen, 1 mile west of Poplar, Shelby County, IA. Their 1st home was on a farm 1 mile south of Redline. Later, they bought a farm south of Jacksonville where they raised two children, Joanne Marie and Rodger Hans.
1977 January--Hans and Martha retired and moved to Harlan, IA. They remained lifelong members of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Jacksonville, IA. Both Hans and Martha are buried in the cemetery there.
