THE FUNERAL OF THE LATE COUNCIL B. WRIGHT.

The funeral of Mr. C. B. Wright, whose death was duly chronicled in these columns, took place in Macon, Ga., on the 24th ult. The Macon Telegraph says it f it:
" Mr. Council B. Wright was buried yesterday from the Presbyterian Church. The services were conducted by Rev. A.W. Clisby, pastor of the church, and were attended by a large number of friends. A beautiful voluntary was sung by Mrs.Theo. and Mrs. J. K. Wells, Jr., followed by the hymn, " Just as I am"

Mr. Clisby remarks were based on " It is better to go to the house of mourning than the house of feasting ", and were appropriate and impressive. On the right of the church the volunteers, under the command of Capt. Carnes, were seated, and they escorted the remains to the cemetery.

The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. Luther Williams, J. W. A. P. Whittle;Thomas N.Conner,
L. Massenburg,B. C. Smith and L. Ripley.

The casket was ladened with many flowers and evergreens, testimonials of the sympathy of friends.
Mr. Wright leaves many warm personal friends, who not only admired, but esteemed him for his many excellent traits of character.

A very sad incident connected with the funeral is the sudden death of Mr. Wright's brother-in-law, Mr. Frank Nesbet. He had come to Macon in fine health for the purpose of attending the funeral, and on beholding the corpse was taken with a stroke of paralyses, and in falling to the floor sustained concussion of the brains from which he died at the residence of his brother, Judge Nesbet, the day following.
