Isaac was a farmer. He married Sarah Rish, the daughter of Simon and Ann Badger Rish, on 23 January 1850 in Columbiana County, and they had William(1850), Ann Eliza(1854)(Sager), John C. (1858), Charles (1861), Martha(1868), and George (1870). Isaac was the son of Isaac and Mary Glass Barrick from Virginia and Ohio. In 1870 and 1880, the family was in Jay County, Indiana. They then moved to Wexford County, Michigan. In 1900, after Isaac's death, Sarah and William returned to Jay County.
