He was born June 22, 1922, in North Apollo.
Mr. Blystone was a driver at PPG before retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Patricia A. McAvoy; 10 sons, Dale L. (Nancy) Blystone of Apollo, William C. (Barb) Blystone of Waynesburg, Lewis P. (Clair) Blystone, Douglas A. (Janet) Blystone, Jeffery A. (Becky) Blystone and Thomas J. (Rachael) Blystone, all of Kiski Township, Arthur L. (Faye) Blystone Sr. of South Bend Township, John D. (Shirley) Blystone of Avonmore, Raymond G. (Carrol) Blystone of Vidalia, Ga., and Gregory D. (Janet) Blystone of Kittanning; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara M. (Thomas Taylor) Blystone of Gilpin, Mrs. Robin G. Blystone of Parks and Melissa A. (Denny) Orr of Kiski Township; 30 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wally C. Blystone of New Orleans, La., and Wayne E. Blystone of Apollo; and three sisters, Donna I. McKee of Leechburg, Sandra M. Blystone of Kiski Township and Gloria D. Blystone of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Marie Moonley Blystone; two grandchildren; his parents, William E. and Florence Daugherty Blystone; and a sister, Wanda McKee.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME, Apollo, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Robert Shallenberger will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
