Glenn J. Dobbs, 59, of Route 4 died July 13, 1985 in his home. He was born July 26, 1925, in Winfield to William Glenn & Jessie Davenport Dobbs Criger, and he married Barbara Falkingham October 19, 1944, in Sedan. He was a mechanic at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita.

Mr. Dobbs served with the U.S. Army during World War two and the occupation of Japan. He attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, Ronald of Denver, Dennis of Dexter, Larry, Roger, Chad and Dale all of Winfield; four daughters, Carol James and Donna Fofanah, both of Wichita; Ginny Lanier and Mary Dobbs both of Winfield; his mother of Winfield; one brother James Dobbs of Winfield; one sister Dorothy Wands of Texarkana, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Swisher-Taylor and Morris Chapel. Intermant will be in Tisdale Cemetery.

Memorials have been established in his name with the American Cancer Society.
