Deborah Deb” Jean Buford-Nelson entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2016. She was born July 11, 1956 to Eunice and Douglas Dean Buford Sr. in Nashville, Tennessee.
Deborah accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Matthews Church.
Deborah was educated in the Metro Public School System and was a graduate of North High School. She furthered her education at Draughon’s Junior College where she received a degree in Accounting and Small Business Management.
In 1979 Deborah united in Holy Matrimony to Jerry Adam Nelson Sr. until his death in 2002.
Deborah was employed with the L & C Insurance Company for many years. After leaving the insurance company, she began working for the State of Tennessee.
Deborah enjoyed singing, listening to music, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Eunice and Douglas Dean Buford Sr.; her husband, Jerry Adam Nelson Sr.; her sister, Carolyn Buford Baugh; her brothers, Milton and Douglas Dean Buford Jr.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memories; devoted son, Jerry Adam Nelson Jr. devoted sister, Sharon Buford-Morgan; devoted niece and nephew, LaShanda Morgan and D’Mario Baugh; sister, Belinda Buford Franklin, nieces, Mollie (Rico) Malone, Evelyn, Donna, Jacquelin, LaQuita and Tameka Buford, Palochia, Walstechia and Taquella Jenkins, Moriah and Cicily Nelson; nephews, Milton Moore, Jack Buford and Waltez Franklin; aunt, Frances Buford; sister-in-law, Mollie and Rayetta Buford, and Teri Nelson; brother-in-law, Melvin Baugh and a host of relatives and friends.
