Reported age at time of death was 5 1/2 months, so evidently born about JUN ? 1899.

"DEATH OF A CHILD: Mr. and Mrs. Sam AUTRY Lose Their Little One. // The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Sam AUTRY sympathize with them sincerely in the death of their little child, William Franklin AUTRY, aged five and one-half months. The little one died yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock, at the residence of its grandfather, Capt. B. F. KETCHUM, at No. 1526 First avenue, after an illness of several days, of bronchitis. The little boy was sick two weeks, and everything possible was done to save it, but in vain. The funeral will take place at ten o'clock today, from the house." [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Tuesday, 05 DEC 1899, p. 3.]

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons buried in the Old Cemetery section of Linwood shows: Wm. Franklin AUTRY died aged 5 1/2 months at 1026 First Avenue [Columbus, Georgia] of bronchitis; interred 05 DEC 1899 - Sexton Jesse Alec BEARD.

This grave is probably not identifiably marked. He is perhaps buried in a lot in the Old Cemetery section with "S. H. AUTRY" on the step; Dolores Autry reported this lot in her "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book as Section G, Lot 136 - at the time she compiled the book, the lot had no visible graves in it (although now this is apparently the lot where Dolores and her husband Marshall AUTRY are interred in marked graves).
