D. A. Owen, Jr. age 69 of Rose Bud, Arkansas passed away on September 12, 2016. Born on July 6, 1947 in Searcy, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Dois A. Owen, Sr. and Frances McAfee Owen.
D.A was a loving son, brother husband and father. He was a retired Southwestern Bell Telephone Lineman.
He is survived by his wife Kim Owen, his children Tonya Rogers and her husband Travis, Dois Alton Owen, III and Christy, his brothers Gary Owen and Dee Owen, his grandchildren Brianna Bradshaw and her husband Sam, Aryn Owen, Jessie Owen, Isaac Gauvey, Luke Gauvey and Slade Owen, his great-grandchild Elaiana Bradshaw and his in-laws Kenneth and Sherry Acree. Mr. Owen is also survived by his other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday at Olmstead Funeral Home with Pastor John Gierke officiating. Pallbearers will be Isaac Gauvey, Luke Gauvey, Chad Owen, Brian Chandler, Jessie Owen and Clay Gustafson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Jean Lister, Larry Wilhite and Jeff Chandler. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
