Lewisburg—Ogden C. Ross, 82, of Lewisburg, son of the late Gen. Ogden J. and Elizabeth (Cheney) Ross of Troy, N. Y. and brother of the late Cynthia R. Fell of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at River Woods, Lewisburg. Mr. Ross lived most of his life in Troy.

After attending the Woods School in Langhorne, he served in the U. S. Merchant Marine during World War II aboard the Liberty ship Reverdy Johnson, and was at Leghorn, Italy on D-Day. Mr. Ross returned to Troy and worked at the Albany Medical Center until his retirement in 1998.

For many years he enjoyed season tickets to the Chromatic Concerts series at Troy Music Hall, and sang in the choir of the First Presbyterian Church. He loved to travel and visited every state in the U.S. and 62 countries worldwide, some favorites including New Zeland, South Africa, Spain, Thailand and the Canadian Rockies. He moved to Lewisburg in 2003 to be near his family, and resided at Outlook Pointe where he made many new friends.

He is survived by his niece and grandniece, Caroline and Lindsey Fell of Chelsea, Mass.; his nephew, John Fell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his brother-in-law Joseph Fell; his sister-in-law Judith Sigler Fell and her son, Thomas Sigler of Lewisburg.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, N. Y. with the Rev. Alexandra S. Lusak, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church, Troy, N. Y., officiating. The family is being assisted by the Gary H. Cronrath Funeral Home, Inc., South Second and St. Louis Street, Lewisburg.
