NAPERVILLE - Douglas H. "Doug" Riley, age 69, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1977, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 after a long illness. An only child born November 25, 1946 in Philadelphia PA to Warren and Alma Riley, Doug grew up in Miami, FL and later moved to Mclean, VA before settling in Naperville. Doug worked for 39 years as a Software Engineer for C&P Telephone Company / AT&T Bell Labs / Lucent Technologies where he was credited with multiple telephony U.S. Patents. Doug is survived by his wife of 36 years, five children, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Alma Riley. Visitation Sunday, September 18, 2-7 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St, Naperville. A celebration of Doug's life will be held Monday, September 19, 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Diabetes Association.
