Mrs. Maude Upton
Mrs. Maude Joyce Cannon Upton, widow of the late president of the Oregon senate, J. H. Upton, died Wednesday at Santa Monica, Cal., where she had been living.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 4 p. m. Sunday at the Chapel of the Rose, Zeller funeral chapel. Graveide services will be Monday at 10 a. m.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Florence Gaskill, Los Angeles; two nieces, Mrs. Orval Hunt, Los Angeles, and Mrs. D. E. Baker, Portland, and a nephew, Wallace T. Cannon, Portland.
Mrs. Upton was born in Roseburg, Or. Later, she and her husband lived in Prineville and Bend, from where he was elected to the senate. He died in an automobile accident in 1938.
