Ronald served in the United States Marine Corps for four years and in the IL ANG for one year. While stationed in Okinawa he met and fell in love with Fumiko “Faye” Nakamura. They married on November 4, 1969 and she survives.
Also surviving are a son and daughter; two grandchildren; two sisters; six brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald was a US Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He formerly served as the Commander of the Chatham VFW. He worked for Union 441 as a pipefitter/welder.
Funeral Service: Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. Burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the United States Marine Corps and the Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail. The Patriot Guard will provide escort.
