Herb, as he liked to be called, was born in Utica, IN, to Francis "Frank" Wey, and Edna Ayres Wey. He was an office equipment salesman for many years. He was an avid hunter, especially duck. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Utica. At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Alma Raines Wey, daughters Madeline Wey O'Nan, of Miami, FL, and Doris Wey Cason, of Palm Springs (she lived in Anza in the mountains above Palm Springs at the time of her passing in 2003); sister, Charlotte Wey List of Indianapolis, brother Carl Wey of Minneapolis, and 6 grandchildren; among them: Charles Steven Cason, Kurt Nelson Cason, and Cathy Colleen Cason.

Cause of Death: Hypostatic Pneumonia
