GOLD STAR MOTHER, her son 1st Lieutenant William Bradford Turner was killed in action, September 27 1918, at the Battle of the Hindenburg Line, France. He was a member of the 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Division.

Lieutenant Turner was awarded the Medal of Honor, for this actions, at the Hindenburg Line, the day he was killed.
