Daughter of John F. and Julia E. Smith Raines. Survived by sister Ruth Lentz of Utica, IN (deceased), and nephew Walter R. (Randy) Smith of Jeffersonville, IN (deceased), his wife, Lorene Smith, also of Jeffersonville, IN. Alma was a member of the Utica, IN Methodist Church. She was married to Herbert Joseph Wey, and with him, had two daughters, Madeline Wey O'Nan of Miama, FL, and Doris Eileen Wey Cason (deceased). Alma is survived by at least three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a number of great-great grandchildren. While it cannot be substantiated at this time, it is believed that Alma and Herbert were divorced at some point. Herbert is not listed as her spouse in the obituary provided by Scott Funeral Home, Inc., Jeffersonville, IN. Herbert preceded Alma in death, on Dec. 1, 1972, and is buried in Grave 1, Section 7, Lot 275, which is next to Alma's grave. Although they were likely divorced, Alma is no doubt interred in the grave next to her ex-husband, because both plots were purchased many years prior to their divorce. The cause of Alma's death is unknown, but at the time of her passing, she was a resident of Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Jeffersonville, IN.
