Payton Ruth Anne Richardson, 12, of New Auburn, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at Bruce.
She was born on April 18, 1999, in Bloomer to Melissa Richardson and her acting father Robert Smith. She attended Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Middle School and enjoyed school, reading books, hunting, basketball, 4-wheeling and being with her family and friends. She was also the social butterfly.
She is survived by her mother, Melissa Richardson, of New Auburn; acting father, Robert Smith, of Eau Claire; one brother, Gavin Perrin, of Bloomer; paternal grandparents, Brian and Kathy Richardson, of Bruce; maternal grandparents, Jane Rasmussen, of Bloomer, and Daniel Kollwitz, of New Auburn; two great-grandmothers, Gladys Kollwitz, of Bloomer, and Ruth Justus, of Bruce; one aunt, Michelle Sweeney; two uncles, Ryan Kollwitz and Derrick Smith, both of Bloomer; and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jerry Rasmussen; and great-grandparents, Henry and Mildred Zwiefelhofer, John Justus and Anthony Kollwitz.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Schriver Funeral Chapel, Bloomer, with Pastor Jeanne Warner officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery [sic], Cooks Valley at a later date.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Schriver Funeral Chapel and for one hour before the service Thursday.
