Theresa Ann Sturgell, 33, Kokomo, died 10:50 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2005, at her residence. Born Feb. 28, 1972, in Rosebud, Texas, she was a daughter of Stephen Sheldon Sturgell and the late Sarah Collins.
She had been employed as an LPN for more than five years.
She loved fishing, her flowers and music, camping, and also interior decorating.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Stephen and wife Shirley Sheldon Sturgell, Kokomo; two daughters, Destiny and Sarah Askrin of Gunnersville, Ala.; a son, Sheldon Sturgell, Kokomo; two brothers, Bobby Gene Sturgell, Kokomo, and Stephen Sheldon Sturgell Jr., Orient, Ohio; a sister, Mahalia Theora Sturgell, Kokomo; two stepbrothers, Stephen Russell and Rick Russell, both of Kokomo; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister, Roxanne Sturgell.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 S. Main St., with the Rev. Ken Spangler officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
