Gordon R. "Randy" Sokoll, 54 of Conneaut Ave. Bowling Green, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Wood County Hospital. He was born September 18, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Gordon R. and Margaret (Inglis) Sokoll. He married Cheryl W. Weiss on August 13, 1976 and she survives. Also surviving are brothers; Mark of Clarkston, MI., Steven of Wichita, Kansas, and Curtis of White Lake, MI. Mr. Sokoll received his BA from Michigan State University, his Master's and Phd from Bowling Green State University. He worked as a police officer from 1976 to 1980 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He was head hockey coach at Bowling Green High School from 1981 to 1989. He was Director of the B.G.S.U. Ice Arena from 1992 to the present time. He attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bowling Green. His memberships include; The Blueliners Club, B.G.S.U. Falcon Club, MSU Varsity "S" Club, He was a former captain and player for the MSU Hockey team and from 1971 to 1975 was a member of the Detroit Red Wings Hockey Association. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 1:30pm in St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Rev. Dale Schaefer, officiating. Burial is in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. Visitation is Saturday, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8pm at the DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 408 W. Wooster St. Bowling Green. Memorial contributions may be given to the B.G. Blueliners Club
