CAVE CITY - William Henry "Pete" Roach, 83, of Cave City died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in a Batesville hospital.
Born March 10, 1923, at Sandtown, he was the son of Edwin and Eva Carter Roach. He served in the U.S. Army from February 1943 to November 1945. He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, Ill. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a brother, Warren Roach of Sandtown; two sisters, Ida Bell Baxter and Oma Fullbright, both of Batesville; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Monell Roach; five brothers, Paul Lamon Roach, Archie Neal Roach, Jay A. Roach, Walter Dean Roach and Brook Roach; and six sisters, Ruby Fay Davis, Mollie Alice Baxter, Vida Magdeline Wilkins, Robbie Roach, Gladys Pool and Jane Nieman.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Jeff Holland and Bobby Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville.
Pallbearers will be Ray Neil Fulbright, Billie Fulbright, Darrell Fulbright, Warren Baxter, J.W. Roach and Jim Hastings.
Honorary pallbearer is Charles Hastings.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
