Maude Pigman of Mitchell, IN, died Friday, May 31, 2002, at Mitchell Manor. Born on February 10, 1903, in Nancy, KY, she was the daughter of Robert and Alice (Burton) Hudson. She married Stewart Pigman in 1922, and he died in 1963.

Surviving are three daughters: Judith Shereikis of Evanston, IL, Anne Black of Bedford, IN, and Janet Zoble of Topeka, KS; two sons, Stewart Pigman of Ft. Myers, FL, and Herbert Pigman of Evanston, IL; twenty grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Richard Pigman; three brothers, and four sisters.

She was a homemaker, a seamstress, an author of children's stories, a member of the Irvington Art League, and was an active Republican.

There will be a graveside memorial service for Maude Pigman later this summer at the Somerset Cemetery in Somerset, KY.

Local arrangements were handled by the Haverly Mortuary.
