Artie Mae Brown, 87, 1013 Bobalo, died Sunday in a local hospital.

She was born, reared, and educated in Lavaca County near Hallettsville and had lived in Yoakum before moving to Corpus Christi in 1925. She was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lonnie (Evelyn) Birmingham of Corpus Christi; two sons, Clarence Trafton of Houston and Francis Melvin Brown of Rockport; two sisters, Mrs. Ossie McMurry of Irving and Mrs. Willie Palmer of Brazoria; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Oscar, Hubert, and Ernest Brown.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at Ss Cyril and Methodius Church. Burial followed in Seaside Memorial Park.

Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service, Morgan at 10th.
