Houldson Rites To Be Wednesday
Funeral services for Jacob W. Houldson will be held from Stafford Chapel at two o'clock (Central Standard Time) Wednesday afternoon, it was announced today.
Mr. Houldson was killed instantly at noon Monday when the tractor he was driving on his farm on Linton route 2, turned over and crushed him. He had started over an embankment when the accident occurred.
The deceased was born in Knox county on Nov. 30, 1884, the son of Scott and Rosini Hinkle Houldson, and was 63 years of age.
He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Fern L. Houldson; five daughters, Mrs. Helen Cole of Kokomo, Miss Juanita Houldson at home, Mrs. Vida Shake of Indianapolis, Mrs. Pansy Howell of Linton route 2 and Mrs. Anna Lee Lorre [sic, Moore] of Sullivan route 3; a son, Scott Houldson of Indianapolis and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Walls of Linton and Mrs. Anna Deckard of Linton route 2.
He was a member of the Pleasantville Methodist church.
The body was taken to the Newkirk Funeral home in Pleasantville and later returned to the family residence, where friends may call.
Burial will be made in the Stafford cemetery.
