Sacramento, Calif., Resident Formerly Owned Farm Near Pittsburg

W.H. Channel of Sacramento, Calif., a former Van Buren county resident, died Saturday following a stoke of paralysis, according to a message received by his niece, Mrs. Frank Talbott of Keosauqua.

Mr. Channel moved to California a few years ago. Previously he owned a farm west of Pittsburg for many years. His wife died in Van Buren county.

He is survived by eight children, Jackson Channel of Des Moines, Louis Channel and Dewey Channel of Sacramento, Calif., Herschel Channell, Emmett Channel and Mrs. Lloyd Greenfield of Birmingham, Mrs. Virgil Popejoy of Deep River and Roosevelt Channel of Illinois; one brother, L.H. Channel of Sacramento; a sister, Mrs. Frank Hughes of Sacramento, and his mother, Mrs. Sarah Channel of Sacramento.

In addition to those linked, father to Lewis G. Channel, twin to Dewey. Lewis was born 14 July 1898 and died 25 March 1971 in Sacramento, CA. Any information about burial location would be much appreciated.
