A. Trevor Jones, Patent Attorney, Dies of Heart Attack
A. Trevor Jones, 69, of Ashland avenue, a member of the law firm of Jones, Darbo and Robertson of Chicago, died suddenly January 14 outside the federal district courtroom of Judge Edwin A Robson in the old post office building in Chicago. Mr. Jones had just filed a brief in Judge Robson’s court.
A resident of River Forest for the past 16 years, he had previously lived in Chicago after coming from his birthplace in Portland, Oregon. He attended Northwestern university, graduated from the Kent college of law, and was admitted to the Illinois Bar association in 1927. He served overseas during World War I.
A member of the Chicago Bar association and Illinois Patent Law association, Mr. Jones also belonged to Advertising Men's post 38, American Legion, and the Windjammers Friday luncheon club for the past 25 years. He formerly served as president of the Washington school PTA and the couple’s club of River Forest Presbyterian church.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda; a son, Christian, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Alice Habib of Toledo, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
Dr. Charles F. Ball conducted the funeral service at Drechsler’s chapel, and burial was in Oakridge cemetery.
