Robert was born September 30, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Walter Cikowski and Josephine Socha Cikowski. He was a graduate of DePaul University, where he earned a BA in Accounting. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he was also a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner, and partner in a CPA firm. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with family and neighborhood friends. He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years; his brothers, Allan Carl Cikowski and his wife Roberta, and Randall Joseph Cikowski and his lifetime partner John Proctor; his nephews, Richard Spohnholz, Jr., Steven Spohnholz, Aric Schillingburg, Marc Sponholz, Tom Cikowski, and Jim Cikowski; his nieces, Rachel Spohnholz, Dana Sponholz, Tina Cikowski Houston, and Linda Cikowski Costenaro; his aunts, Mary Socha, and Marilyn Goggin Socha; his uncle, Carl Socha; his great-nephews, Tyler Greenwood, John Spohnholz, and Hunter Greenwood; and his great-nieces, Trinity Greenwood, Alexis Spohnholz, Siena Spohnholz, and Stelle Spohnholz.
