Kathryn Ann Shuba, of Austintown passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Hampton Woods Skilled Nursing Facility, with family members by her bedside.
Kathryn was born, October 28, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena Ruberto Forde. Kathryn was a graduate of The Rayen School and received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Education from Youngstown State University. Kathryn was a long-time employee of Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Austintown and Youngstown Public Schools were she retired in 2007.
Kathryn was married on September 6, 1958 in St. Anthony Church to George T. Shuba.
Kathryn enjoyed family gatherings and most truly enjoyed the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
Kathryn was a long time member of St. Christine Church in Youngstown.
Kathryn leaves her three children, Mary Kay (Sean) McNeeley of Avon, Marlene (Joe) DelFraino of Poland, and Michael Shuba of Austintown. Grandchildren Mark DelFraino
(fiancé Lorraine Asa), Andrea (Philip) Ciarniello, Sarah (Jeff) Evans, Lisa (Chase) Blisard, Katherine (Mike) Freeh, Anna McNeeley and great grandchild Thomas Ciarniello; and many nieces and nephews. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband George T. Shuba, who died September 29, 2014; her brother and sister-in-laws, Frank and Josephine Forde, and Steve and Margaret Forde.
