Walt was born August 25, 1926 in Albion, NY, one of 13 children of Simon and Anastasia “Nellie” Mazola Dragon. He graduated from Cornell University with a Degree in Ag Engineering in 1951, and worked for the Dept. of the Interior, mapping parts of the Bering Sea and the Arctic Ocean.

Walt owned and operated Dragon Farms on the Potter muck for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and reader. He enjoyed tinkering with old tractors, attending auctions, traveling, airplanes and air shows and old cars. Walt enjoyed 14 years of retirement in Green Valley, Arizona.

Walt is survived by four children, the mothers of his children, Gladys Dragon of Canandaigua, NY.

Burial in Shuman Cemetery.
